This is an photograph taken from one of my San Francisco trips. It was a really overcast day.
Not the picture I saw or was looking for. But...lurking within, is a picture
that will surprise most. The picture I saw in my mind and what I wanted when I took it.
"After"
Recently, I've had a couple of clients requesting some digital darkroom
work. Which I love doing. I
was given a piece of artwork, a watercolor piece, done by
Brenda
Deluca. My client said, I have Brenda's permission to use her image to
make a Christmas card. Can you turn this into an image that looks more
like Christmas? Sure, I said. Give me an idea of what you want and I'll
see what I can work up. So, this is what I did. I loved it! So did my
client! So I asked if I could use the image to market my services.
Brenda said it would be all right. Thank You Brenda for the use of your image.
The
above image is Benda's original watercolor. They love these little
trailers to do their camping in. Here is what I came up with for my
client.
What a difference! Don't you love it! Just add a message and your in business.
I
had another client who's cat passed away and the cats name was "Hamlet.
My client wanted her cat dressed in an outfit that fit the cats name.
She sent me a picture of her cat and an outfit she wanted the cat posed
in and then she wanted to have it printed on canvas. She had tried to
do a cut and paste originally. My client requested a couple of things
to be done, and I made the up an image she loved. She will always have
the canvas print of her cat. Here is what I came up with using the
graphics she sent me.
Here is the image I put together with her corrections.
I
have a lot of fun working on things like this. I hope to do more of it.
